Deryn's Nightmare part 2

"Alek, The reason why I came in last night, the way that I did, was because I had a terrible nightmare. But it was so real and vivid, I could feel, see, smell, taste, and hear everything that happened, the whole lot of them all together". She said tightening her grip on Alek. She was so scared to remember it, the shaking was an obvious answer to it. Alek held her close while she was beginning to tear up again.
"Hey, it's okay I'm right here. Don't worry I'm not going anywhere." Alek whispered in her ear. "Aye, and I love that you are. But the dream was so terrible, there was nothing I could do about it all, everything was going out of control and one thing happ-"Deryn was in a bit of a panic and before she could finish, Alek somehow managed to kiss her softly on the lips.

"Let's just start at the beginning, shall we?" he said as he pulled back a little. Deryn gave him a big hug, and then sat up straight. Crossing her legs she positioned herself at the other end of the bed in front of Alek. Alek was still up against the wall and Bovril was now rolling in his sleep and was up against Alek's side.
Deryn took a deep breath, and began. "It all started here actually. I was looking for Bovril, and you said he might be in here. So I went there, but once I got there the lights were out and the glow worms weren't responding for some odd reason. Finally, a small light managed to enlighten the whole room. Followed by two smaller lights as well as Bovril and his small body glowed in the dim light.

There was a small dinner table fit for two and flowers were in the middle of it. It was a small, yet romantic setting and was so beautifully made. Soon after I entered and saw what was there, you came from behind and grabbed my hand. You gave me a smile and asked, "Would you care to dine with me on this beautiful night?" I smiled and nodded, because I was too shocked that you pulled this off.
We got to the table and you seated me first and then yourself. We had the most romantic dinner together, even though it was a romantic night for us, it seemed right that Bovril was there too. It was a fantastic meal with wine to top it off and we had the best dinner I have ever had in my whole life, it was barking amazing!

Afterwards, the three of us went for a stroll around the ship to work off the meal we finished, and we had such a grand time with it too. After some time, we made our way back to your cabin and, had some more wine as we were laying on your bed talking about our day.
I sat up to stretch my arms and back and when my arms were up in the air, you wrapped your arms around me and then kissed my cheek." "That doesn't sound bad one bit, actually it sounds rather romantic if you ask me" Alek interrupted while smiling. "Stop that barking chatter and I'll tell you the rest you daft prince!" she spat while her face turned red. Alek chucked a little and smiled.

"Now, as I was saying. After that sweet kiss I twisted around and fell on top of you and kissed you and we had a bit of a…" She paused, turning a bright shade of red and was looking down at her hands and playing with her fingers, mumbling.
Alek was trying to figure out what she was trying to tell him and why it made her so embarrassed to tell him. After a change in facial color, from a brighter to a darker red, Alek finally asked, "What are you trying to say, is it something good, bad, or is it something silly?" She shook her head and then took a deep breath.

"Alek, we… did something, really, romantic. Something that we got even closer together than we've ever been." Alek was quiet a moment, still thinking about what she was saying. Bovril was tossing and turning trying to sleep but couldn't because of their talking. "Do you know what I'm trying to tell you?" Deryn asked Bovril looked at her, then Alek and had this funny look on his face and then bluntly said "Making love" and began to giggle as he curled into a ball.
Alek's face turned a brilliant shade of red as well as Deryn's when the beasty had said it aloud. "You mean we made that, loving bond?" Alek asked, while stuttering a bit. Deryn covered her bright red face as Alek looked at her. "So, we made love together. How did we get into it? He asked calmly.

"I don't know!" She spat under a whisper, "Well, I guess it started with the wine and one kiss after another." She said. "Well, what happened after that?" Smiling, Alek hungered to know more of the dream. Deryn cleared her voice to sound strong again, yet she was still bright red.
"Well after we made love, we slept here in your cabin. You see, we were going to set off for a mission and it would take a few weeks to arrive to the appointed destination. We got the word that there was German resistance in a Canyon and we also got word that they were performing some nasty things down there and the brass would like us to investigate and find what's going on down there.

You wanted to do something special and I think that the after dinner excitement wasn't apart of the plan, but it was the most romantic thing we could have ever done. The next day we went about our daily lives, just we were a bit closer and we gave each other more of a secret smile. The crew never knew what we did, no one did. Everyone just thought we had yet another insider joke. But the lady boffin had a small suspicion about us, but she couldn't find any clue.
